Accounts Assistant, Part Time

Salary: £13,416.78 (FTE £22.361.30)

22.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

Flexible working hours will be considered, this will be discussed at interview

Based Near Alderley Edge, Cheshire, (SK9 7UD) David Lewis is the UK’s largest provider of care, education, assessment and treatment and life skills development for people aged 16 upwards with complex epilepsy, physical and learning disabilities and other neurological conditions.

The Accounts Assistant is a key member of the Finance team working to ensure that the monthly financial results of David Lewis are reported on a consistent and accurate basis.

Due to the small size of the Finance team, you will be involved in the day to day transactions of the ledger accounts including the cashier role and thereby provide support to the other functions within the Finance team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To perform various accounting functions within the Finance Department.
  • To process credit card statements.
  • To reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • To be proactive in resolving queries by liaising with both internal and external parties.
  • To carry out the programme of Internal Audits.
  • To assist in reconciling supplier statements.
  • To assist with any other ad hoc duties required as and when the business require them.

You will have:

  • Previous experience of accounting is required.
  • Ideally candidates have attained or will be working towards an AAT level 4 qualification.
  • Experience of Microsoft packages Word & Excel is essential.
  • Experience of processing using an Accounting software packages is essential.
