JOB TITLE REPORTS TO
Accounts Assistant Financial Accountant
- JOB PURPOSE
The Accounts Assistant is a key member of the Finance team working to ensure that the monthly financial results of the Centre are reported on a consistent and accurate basis.
Due to the small size of the Finance team, the role will be involved in the day to day transactions of the ledger accounts including the cashier role and thereby provide support to the other functions within the Finance team.
2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To perform various accounting functions within the Finance Department.
- To manage the issue / cancellation and credit limits on staff credit cards.
- To process credit card statements and reclaim money due to DL.
- To raise sales ledger invoices for expenditure on behalf of Residents.
- To reconcile various balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
2.6 To process purchase ledger invoices as required.
2.7 To be proactive in resolving queries by liaising with house staff.
2.8 To promote and support awareness of cultural diversity. To ensure that bullying, harassment and intimidation are not tolerated.
2.9 To be aware of issues relating to POVA and safeguarding of children and to
report any untoward incidents immediately to the appropriate person.
2.10 To develop an awareness of all issues around the protection of service users
and to report all concerns in accordance with centre policies.
2.11 To ensure that all health and safety responsibilities are discharged to protect
the health and safety of self, employees and comply with best practice and legal requirements.
2.12 To assist with any other ad hoc duties required as and when the business require them.
3. PERFORMANCE MEASURES
- Quality of relationships with Service Users, families, staff and other professionals, measured by feedback and observation.
- Line Manager- Satisfaction with quality of work produced, competence level, all measured by feedback, performance appraisals and ongoing performance management.
- Development of professional skills measured by enhanced competence and attainment of AAT qualifications.

Salary: £13,416.78 (FTE £22.361.30)
22.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

- To assist in reconciling supplier statements.
- To assist with any other ad hoc duties required as and when the business require them.

- Experience of Microsoft packages Word & Excel is essential.
