Reaseheath Day Opportunities Manager

David Lewis @ Reaseheath College

Help Us Build Something New

Are you an experienced and passionate leader who believes in enabling people to live meaningful, fulfilling lives?

We have an exciting opportunity to join David Lewis as our new Reaseheath Day Opportunities Manager, leading the development of an innovative, nature-based service at Reaseheath College.

This is not a role where you simply manage an existing service. This is a unique opportunity to help create, develop and grow a brand-new provision alongside the people we support, colleagues, families and community partners.

Using horticulture, conservation, sustainability projects, enterprise activities and outdoor learning, you will help create opportunities that promote independence, wellbeing, social connection and personal achievement for adults with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy and complex needs.

About the Role

Based at Reaseheath College, you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day operation and future development of the service.
  • Work with people we support to co-design activities and opportunities.
  • Recruit, develop and inspire a small staff team.
  • Build excellent partnerships with Reaseheath College, families, professionals and community organisations.
  • Ensure the service is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
  • Develop innovative programmes focused on nature, horticulture, conservation, wellbeing and practical life skills.
  • Support the growth and long-term sustainability of the service.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience leading teams within social care, day opportunities, community services or supported living.
  • Has a strong understanding of supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.
  • Is passionate about person-centred and strengths-based approaches.
  • Can build relationships and inspire others.
  • Enjoys developing new ideas and turning them into reality.
  • Is organised, motivated and able to work independently.
  • Shares our commitment to co-production and ensuring people we support have a genuine voice in shaping services.

Why Join Us?

At David Lewis, we believe people should have opportunities to thrive, develop skills, build confidence and achieve their aspirations.

This role offers the rare chance to shape a new service from the ground up and leave a lasting impact on the lives of the people we support.

You'll be joining a values-led organisation with over 120 years of experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy and complex needs.

We Offer

  • Competitive salary.
  • Generous annual leave entitlement.
  • Pension scheme.
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities.
  • Supportive leadership and professional development.
  • The opportunity to lead an exciting new project from its earliest stages.
