Support Worker (Day Services)

Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 4:30pm

Full and Part Time Positions (22.5 to 37.5 hours a week)

£23,685.75 per annum (Full Time)

David Lewis Day Services require full time Day Time Support Workers to support a number of service users within group sessions and/or help support a group of Service Users within a small group based activity.

David Lewis is a modern, forward thinking charity with a track record and reputation built over 100 years. We provide a range of educational, residential, day services and medical services to support adults and young people with complex needs, including learning disabilities, epilepsy and autism.

As a Day Time Support Worker you will assist in the preparation of materials and facilities for activities, and support service users when undertaking activities with the animals, horticulture, conservation and other preferred activities, you may also need to accompany service users off site as required therefore it is imperative that you are flexible in your approach to work.

You will be an integral part of the front line staff at Land Based Services, providing support for the service users who access the services.

Experience of working in a similar environment would be advantageous.

Experience is not essential as full training is given.

We have a successful track record built up over 100 years with expertise in specialist residential, education, day opportunities and clinical and therapeutic services

Our specialist school and college is part of an education, day opportunities and residential community.

Our School is for 11-19 year olds and rated GOOD by Ofsted

We also have a college onsite for 16-25 year olds with an Ofsted rating of OUTSTANDING

Residential services for adults, either living in accommodation at our 165 acres in Warford or in one of our houses in a local town or village in Cheshire.

Adult day opportunities which develop social and vocational skills with the potential to lead to employment opportunities.

Access to therapy, nursing, medical and behaviour support if appropriate to an individual’s needs.

David Lewis provides care 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Hence, the post does require working early, late and weekend shifts as required.
