Health, Social Care & Clinical Skills Trainer

Job Introduction

Health, Social Care & Clinical Skills Trainer

£32,959 to £36,621 per annum

Are you the person everyone turns to when they need advice, guidance, or a confidence boost?

Do you love seeing people learn, develop and succeed?

Can you teach moving & handling in the morning, support competency assessments after lunch, and still have enough energy to get a room full of colleagues engaged in a training session by the afternoon?

If that sounds like your kind of challenge, we might have just the role for you.

At David Lewis, we're looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Health, Social Care & Clinical Skills Trainer to join our Learning & Development team.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your days hidden behind a laptop creating endless PowerPoint slides. We need someone who enjoys being out and about across the organisation, coaching, supporting, developing and inspiring colleagues to deliver outstanding care.

What you'll be doing

You'll play a key role in developing a confident, skilled and capable workforce by:

  • Delivering engaging health, social care and clinical skills training
  • Supporting induction, mandatory and specialist healthcare training
  • Completing competency assessments and observations
  • Working alongside managers and clinical teams to identify learning needs
  • Promoting safe, effective and person-centred support
  • Helping colleagues build the confidence and skills they need to make a real difference every day

No two days will be the same, and that's exactly how we like it.

About you

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience delivering training, coaching or assessing within health, social care or healthcare settings
  • Can engage learners with different experiences, abilities and learning styles
  • Understands person-centred care and what great support looks like
  • Enjoys building relationships and influencing positive practice
  • Has excellent communication skills and plenty of enthusiasm
  • Holds a training qualification (or is willing to work towards one)

Additional trainer qualifications in areas such as First Aid, Medication, Moving & Handling, Delegated Healthcare, Epilepsy or PBS would be fantastic, but we're equally interested in people with the right experience and attitude.

Why join David Lewis?

Because what we do matters.

Every training session you deliver helps ensure the people we support receive safe, effective and compassionate care. You'll be joining a passionate organisation where learning, development and continuous improvement are genuinely valued.

Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to help colleagues grow, develop and deliver exceptional support to people with complex needs.

Interested?

If you're passionate about developing people, enjoy making learning engaging and believe great training can transform services, we'd love to hear from you.

Salary: £32,959 to £36,621 per annum
