Night Service Manager
Location: David Lewis,. Mill Lane, Warford. SK9 7UD
Hours: 37.5 hours (rota-based)
Reports to: Registered Managers
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Night Service Manager to lead and oversee our residential night services.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be visible, present, and proactive, conducting regular night visits, supporting teams across services, and ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently delivered.
You’ll act as a key link between night teams, residential homes, and senior leadership—helping to create a safe, caring, responsive and well-led service at all times.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carry out regular night visits to residential homes, monitoring quality, practice, and compliance
- Provide hands-on support and leadership to night teams across services
- Act as Duty Manager on a rota basis, responding to incidents and emergencies
- Ensure services are safe, effective, and fully compliant with CQC standards and legislation
- Observe staff practice, provide feedback, and address performance issues
- Support staffing, rotas, absence management, and workforce planning
- Lead on quality assurance, audits, and continuous improvement plans
- Work closely with Registered Managers, clinical teams, and multi-disciplinary professionals
- Promote a positive, person-centred culture that values dignity, choice, and independence
- Ensure accurate, secure, and up-to-date care records are maintained
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in a leadership role within health & social care
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and safeguarding
- Experience managing teams, rotas, and staff performance
- Confident decision-maker, able to respond to complex or emergency situations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently during night hours while supporting multiple services
Desirable:
- Level 4 qualification in Health & Social Care and/or Management
(or Level 3 with willingness to work towards) - Experience working with adults with neurological or physical conditions
- Knowledge of MCA, DoLS, medication management, and behaviour support
