David Lewis is looking to fill the following vacancy:
Positive Behaviour Support Advisor
37.5 hours per week
Starting Salary £24,446.00 rising to £30,894.38 (with PBS Qualification)
With the growth of David Lewis services an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Psychology and Behaviour Support Service as a Positive Behaviour Support Advisor.
The successful applicant will work under the direction and supervision from the Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner Team Leader. You will positively contribute to the safe care of the people we support across the Charity.
- Undertaking behavioural assessment and behavioural interventions under the supervision and guidance of senior clinical colleagues.
- Undertaking functional assessment and analysis of challenging behaviours and use of findings to inform positive behaviour support plans and risk assessment.
- Implementing and monitoring the implementation of positive behaviour support plans
- Producing written reports and summaries of work as required.
- Contributing to MDT meetings and carrying out observations in situ as required.
- Delivery of training as required.
The successful applicant will desirably hold a degree level qualification in Psychology (or equivalent) and a Professional Diploma in Positive Behaviour Support (or willingness to work towards within 12 months). They will also have experience of working in the field of learning disabilities - within residential or education settings would be desirable. They will have a positive can-do attitude and be able to build constructive working relationships with colleagues across David Lewis services.
