SEN Sports Tutor

Location: David Lewis College, Cheshire, SK9 7UD

Full Time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Up to £30453.23 per annum (dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)

David Lewis is an employer of choice.  The David Lewis College provides residential and day specialist further education for young adults aged 16-25 who have complex needs including epilepsy, related neurological conditions, Autism, learning difficulties and varying degrees of challenging behaviour. David Lewis College is rated as “Outstanding” by OFSTED.

We are looking to recruit a SEN Tutor Sport who will work with all students across all strands of a holistic multi-sensory curriculum to develop communication, self-advocacy and choice, and improve mobility and independence. A large part of this role will be sports delivery and or well-being/health related, however, you may be also required to support the main college curriculum as part of this role.

Candidates must be a fully qualified teacher, ideally with a degree in a subject area at least 2 years’ experience working with students with a range of learning disabilities from moderate to severe.  The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they consistently deliver good teaching, learning and assessment.
