SEND College Tutor
Location: David Lewis College, Cheshire, SK9 7UD
Full Time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
£28,080 to £36,920 per annum (dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
David Lewis College is a rapidly growing Independent Specialist College for young people between the ages of 16 and 25. As a specialist education provider we enhance the skills and life options of young people with learning difficulties including autism, epilepsy, and other neurological disabilities. We recognise that successful learning is achieved through positive experiences and we strive to create a college day that is motivating, rewarding and purposeful.
We are looking for an inspirational College SEN Tutor who is committed to developing the skills, confidence, ambition and independence of young people on their journey into adulthood.
The successful candidate will be:-
- Qualified to QTLS level or willing to work towards
- Passionate about teaching young people with special educational needs
- Committed and willing to learn the skills required to be an outstanding Tutor
- Able to use their knowledge and skills to provide the best possible education for learners including the delivery of an individualised curriculum
- Creative, adaptable and resilient, with a positive attitude
- Committed to working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Confident in dealing with young people who may display challenging behaviours

Our specialist school and college is part of an education, day opportunities and residential community.
Our School is for 11-19 year olds and rated GOOD by Ofsted
We also have a college onsite for 16-25 year olds with an Ofsted rating of OUTSTANDING
Residential services for adults, either living in accommodation at our 165 acres in Warford or in one of our houses in a local town or village in Cheshire.
Adult day opportunities which develop social and vocational skills with the potential to lead to employment opportunities.
