Location:     David Lewis
Salary:         £23,751  plus  1.33% night premium  -  taking salary to £31,558.83

Reports To:  Reception & Transport Manager

We're looking for a professional, reliable and proactive Night Operations & Security Operative to help keep David Lewis safe, secure and running smoothly throughout the night.

This is a unique role combining security, reception and operational support, making you a key part of our overnight team. You'll be responsible for safeguarding our site, supporting staff and visitors, responding to incidents, and ensuring our residents and colleagues can feel safe and secure at all times.

What You'll Be Doing

Security & Site Safety

  • Locking and securing buildings and gates across the site.
  • Conducting regular site patrols throughout the night.
  • Monitoring CCTV systems, barriers and security systems.
  • Responding to fire alarms, intruder alarms and emergency situations.
  • Escalating incidents and contacting emergency services where necessary.
  • Meeting and directing emergency services on arrival.
  • Ensuring fire exits, emergency access routes and disabled parking areas remain clear.

Reception & Customer Service

  • Acting as the first point of contact overnight.
  • Handling telephone calls and messages professionally and accurately.
  • Assisting staff, visitors and contractors with information and enquiries.
  • Maintaining clear and accurate logs, records and handover notes.
  • Welcoming visitors and ensuring site procedures are followed.

Operational Support

  • Managing and tracking keys for vehicles and facilities.
  • Issuing fuel cards and maintaining associated records.
  • Monitoring generators and other operational systems.
  • Liaising with maintenance contractors and engineers when required.
  • Supporting the smooth operation of services across the David Lewis site.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • SIA Licence.
  • Level 2 Award for Security Officers.
  • Previous experience in a security, reception, front-of-house or administrative role.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
