Registered Manager – Adult Residential Care

Location Base: Cheshire, SK9

Competitive Salary

Full Time 37.5 hours per week

(with flexibility required to ensure the effective delivery of duties based on the needs of the service).

We are looking to recruit a Registered Manager for part of our Adult Residential provision,  who will ensure the service is fully compliant with all legislative, statutory and regulatory requirements.  The registration covers a number of properties providing residential support for a number of residents with differing needs.

The Registered Manager will report into the Director of Adult Services and be expected to meet the defined objectives of the service in accordance with CQC standards, the David Lewis Strategy and annual Operational Plan. 

The Registered Manager will provide clear leadership for the service through exemplar values and behaviours and will manage and coach the residential management team to ensure the highest standards of care are achieved and that the operation and service is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led - ensuring that services are person centred and meet individual need.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Residential Manager within a CQC regulated service and possess a minimum Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care and Level 4 qualification in Management or equivalent.  Successful candidates will also demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • An in-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks for health and social care including the CQC regulatory framework and fundamental standards.
  • A thorough understanding of the Care Act 2014 and the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Amended Regulations 2015.
  • A good working knowledge of adults with a range of complex additional physical and learning needs, for example epilepsy and autism.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as the manager of multi property adult residential services.
  • Ability to act as with autonomy and as a role model to set and deliver high standards of care
  • Ability to lead by example, motivate and empower others.
  • Possess exceptional planning and organisational skills with good administrative, communication, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Can operate with authority and credibility both internally and externally and communicate effectively with service users, family members, staff and colleagues in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Are comfortable working with budgets and IT systems.
