Vocational Coach

Day Services

15 hours per week

£9787.50 per year  (FTE 37.5 hours, £24,468.75 )

The role will be working 2 days a week 08.30-16.30hrs

Our Day Services provide an extensive range of innovative, person centred leisure, vocational and work based activities, in a variety of settings to adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Epilepsy and other complex needs

We are very excited to be able to offer a great opportunity for a Vocational Coach to work within our onsite shop & café that provides meaningful work experience to the people we support.

In addition the successful candidate will be able to develop plan and deliver regular events and workshops within the café,

 We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual to provide an inclusive, exciting and diverse shop & café..

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and organised, with good communication and team working skills, who can co-ordinate, create, develop and deliver ongoing programmes of work and activities to the people we support

The successful candidate will support and enable the people we support to develop skills and knowledge in:

  • Customer service
  • Money Management/ Till system/ cashing up
  • Stocking of fridges/ rotation
  • Managing communications…special offers, what’s new,  creating a specials board, customer satisfaction surveys, designing menus and flyers
  • Managing online ordering system,
  • Develop social skills,
  • Skill development and increased independence

 

Not forgetting the importance of team work, making friends and having fun and a positive experience.

Experience/qualifications in the following is desirable:, Retail, Care

A positive approach, can do attitude, strong team player and the ability to work with minimal supervision is essential.

Our School is for 11-19 year olds and rated GOOD by Ofsted

We also have a college onsite for 16-25 year olds with an Ofsted rating of OUTSTANDING

Residential services for adults, either living in accommodation at our 165 acres in Warford or in one of our houses in a local town or village in Cheshire.

Adult day opportunities which develop social and vocational skills with the potential to lead to employment opportunities.

Access to therapy, nursing, medical and behaviour support if appropriate to an individual’s needs.

David Lewis provides care 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Hence, the post does require working early, late and weekend shifts as required.
